Breaking news - AV Awards entry deadline extended to Friday 31st May
This is a big year for the AV industry’s leading Awards. Following on from our 40th anniversary celebrations, we’re now marking 15 years at the top rewarding excellence.
As you’d expect, we have taken a look (as we do every year) at the Awards categories to see if they are fit for purpose. As a result we have removed four categories which we felt weren’t working as successfully as we would have liked. This decision was also taken to help reduce the running time of the overall awards ceremony on the night.
As an example, the Flat Screen Product of the Year and Interactive Presentation Product of the Year have been combined in a renamed category - Collaboration Product of the Year. Eligible products for this Award include: interactive flat panel displays, video conferencing, telepresence, audio conferencing, web conferencing, interactive whiteboards and response systems.
And now...answers to the FOUR questions entrants ask us every year:
Deadline – entry deadline has now been extended. Entries must be in by 5pm, Friday 31 May.
Eligibility - all product launches and innovations, manufacturers’, project and company information should relate to the 15 months from 1 February 2012 until 1 May 2013.
Open to – organisations with operations in the UK, but projects can be from anywhere in the world.
Making your entry stand out - Add video content, no matter how basic. You don’t need to be Cecil B DeMille. Feedback from our judges over the last few years has shown consistently that those entries with added video content (including video testimonials from clients, even a snippet taken by mobile phone) has helped an entry stand out from the rest in the minds of those picking a winner.
Think that’s it. Good luck!
